With nearly 15 years experience in the health and fitness industry, I have worked at various health clubs and gained knowledge across several disciplines to ensure my clients have the best possible support, no matter what their need is.
I began my journey within the industry at David Lloyd Leisure, initially within the memberships team. Whilst I enjoyed being part of a vibrant group, I developed a passion for working closer with clients to help them achieve their goals.
With a natural love of fitness and a genuine interest in what people eat, a move into personal training enabled me to share my knowledge and help clients achieve different aims. The NASM Certified Personal Trainer certification also equipped me with the necessary skills and techniques to help anyone reach their fitness goals, from beginners to professional athletes.
Alongside individual training, I also began teaching classes and it was here that yoga found its way into my life. The holistic balance to the adrenaline fuelled personal training was the perfect combination. A life-changing trip to India for intensive Sivananda yoga teacher training was the catalyst for the formation of Grace Thorne Yoga.
As well as traditional yoga, I now also help Mums and Mums-to-be stay fit, healthy and connected with pre and postnatal yoga. This is something that remains close to my heart having practiced myself throughout pregnancy.
Away from work, I find the balance in life with two young children keeping me busy, as well as finding pockets of time to continue practising & developing myself. With a real passion for finding new techniques, routines & ways to implement exercise into busy lifestyles, I also have a keen interest in food & nutrition which plays a big part in both my family life and my professional life.
